Transportation Glitches Need To Be Fixed Quickly - CDM

KORAT, Dec 5 (Bernama) -- Transportation problems faced by athletes and officials from participating countries need to be fixed quickly by the host, said Malaysia's Chef-de-Mission (CDM) Datuk Zainal Abidin Ahmad.

"This is the biggest games in the history of the SEA Games. I fear if the problem is not resolved quickly, it will affect the smooth running of the Games," he told reporters after representing Malaysia at the flag raising ceremony at the Games Village here Wednesday.

According to him, it is the single biggest complaint he has been hearing since the national contingent arrived at the Village on Sunday.

However, he was happy with the facilities at the Games Village and the hospitality shown towards Muslim athletes and officials as "halal" food and prayer areas have been made available.
